Turn on the Television, There are Plenty of Reality Shows

I think it is pretty one-sided. All one needs to do is turn on the television, there are plenty of reality shows. That’s what the craze is right now; reality TV. We read the news paper to read about current events, and we watch reality shows to see how other people live out their lives. So the quote "Be it like or death, we crave only reality" definitely overpowers "Human kind cannot bear very much reality”. I think that eventually this phase will reside and a new fad will take its place. But until then, we will continue to watch the Real World, Date My Mom, Next and all the other reality TV shows that clog our television sets.

Full Effect

"Nothing Ever becomes real till it is experienced" by John Keats and "Reality can be attained only by someone who is detached" by Simone Weil would agree with how i feel. I think that someone needs to experience something if they want the full effect and see how it really is in that particular situation. People say that you need to look at the big picture; sometimes that won’t happen if you are caught up in the middle. I think that you need to experience the situation once from first hand experience, then watching the same situation take place allows someone to have a lot better stance on the situation because they can see it from both perspectives.

The Person They Want To Be

The real self is not always the natural occuring one. Sometimes it is what one wants to be. When a patient tells the doctor that they are feeling more like themselves, thats not true, they are getting further away from what their real seld is. When they say they feel more like themselves they are really saying they feel like the person they want to be. Thats why they people went on the game, to get away from what they really are and their real problems, and live in a game where they can be who ever they want and act how ever they want. Real life never ends, you can pause a game, but you cant pause life, you can play a game in life, but it will never be another life.
